Can't... stop... sneezing x.x Ugh.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who humored my slightly contemplative birthday post ^^; I'm not good at birthdays. But I had a good one anyway. Jei came over and woke me up with a couple of wrapped gifts, which cheered me up no end because I was really expecting to have absolutely nothing to physically unwrap this year :P She got me a birthday Eeyore plushie (altogether now: aww!) and some candy. I got a card from my mom with a £20 cheque in it, and also a card from one of my roommates. My dad called me to wish me a happy one, and my brother sent me a text, which was sweet of him. To celebrate, Jei and I went to the Oceanarium by the beach, and then had dinner at Funki Sushi. I wouldn't go there if I were you - it's overpriced, very average food-wise, and pretty lousy service. But we had a good time anyway. Pics of birthdayish things coming later.

TKA finally got #193 of Archie Sonic up, meaning I was finally able to read it. It was pretty good. It gets me thinking though... and sometimes I wonder if I'm more like Miles (Anti-Tails) than I am like Tails. That's rather a depressing thought! But Miles reminds me of myself at my worst. Sarcastic, antisocial, broody, hot-tempered and pedantic. Not to mention aloof and rather condescending. I hate to think of those qualities in myself (which is probably the main thing that differentiates my personality from that, even in my worst moments), but I certainly possess them in my nastier moments.
The Suppression Squad really aren't 'opposites' of the Freedom Fighters. In many ways, they are in fact very similar. Scourge once said that he and the others were 'born evil', but I'm not sure that I buy that, at least not completely. Perhaps their moral compasses are just in upside-down, but at core, they're the same and they're also very much a product of their environment and life experiences.

Okay, so maybe I'm over thinking it... but I just kinda feel that if they'd been born into each other's worlds, perhaps they would have turned out far more like their alternates than they'd like to admit. (Or perhaps I'm just selfishly trying to explain my nastier side away by means of environmental influence - hah).

The thing is, I kind of like Miles as a character. Sure, he's a dick, but he has that totally dry sarcastic nature that I really enjoy. And he's not above reaching out for assistance from the other side if it means taking down someone that he can't abide (in this case, Scourge*). He's self-righteous and arrogant, but also a bit of a drama queen... and he's got an emo streak XD So, uh, kinda like Tails in the 'issues' department, then. Really, he and Tails aren't that different. Both techie geniuses with independence issues and a bit of feistiness under a calmer exterior. Miles is just, well, nastier about it than Tails.

Mm, anyway. I really want to get this for my wall. Ahahaha. But alas, I am a student and I am poor.

Also... Lucca's Theme (Chrono Trigger) is pure love. I haven't played Chrono Trigger in forever... I neeeed to download it and play it again! ^^

Alrighty, out y'all!

* And yes, I have seen Purple Scourge in all his Super glory on the cover of #196 :P
