Good news :)
Jul. 24th, 2008 08:06 amWell, I survived. After all that worrying and sleepless nights and stomach-churning dread, the doctor only had to do some surface tests and didn't need to remove the whole thing.
More to the point, I've now found out that it's a completely harmless and benign lump of scar tissue that, although it'll be there for the rest of my life, has no cancerous properties at all.
So, I'm exhausted from a week of worrying, but incredibly relieved. Just thought I should let you guys know. Thanks for all the support :) This was the first real medical scare I've had regarding a potentially serious condition... so, it shook me up a lot. But now I can let it go and focus on the future. Such as my last week of work. My holiday. Going to Uni. And so on.
Thank you, LJ friends, for supporting me through this. Thank you Jei for being so understanding and sweet. Thank you mum for just being awesome.
ONWARD! ^^
