Wow, LJ, I've been slacking!

Well, on updating here, anyway. I've been pretty busy actually! This weekend I did quite a lot.

On Saturday, I walked to the Saturday Car Boot Sale in the morning, but there was nothing there because of the weather, I guess. In the afternoon I went to the Bristol Carnival. It rained pretty much the whole time, but it was still fun. There was an awesome atmosphere at the Green Stage, where everyone was dancing in the rain to the reggae being played live on the stage. Some people even took their shoes off and just really got into it. I got totally drenched to the core, but it was worth it. The jerk chicken pasty I had for lunch was delicious, too, and the carnival costumes were a lot of fun. Too bad about the rain, though... it was really unfortunate.

On Sunday (yesterday) in the afternoon, my mom and I did a three hour walk around Bleadon (our village) with a North Somerset Ranger, who pointed out all the different archaeological and geographical points of interest. We must've walked about four miles, at least, and over some quite sleep and rough terrain, up narrow stony pathways with wedged steps, and across tufty fields and over stiles. It was actually really interesting and exhilarating. Most of all, I was really pleased with how well I managed, physically. I'm in pretty good shape right now, and it shows! I felt pretty good about that. My legs ache slightly today, but nothing like as bad as I thought it would be.

I'm sorry for not replying to comments on my last couple of entries. I keep forgetting about LJ, which sucks 'cause I really enjoy posting here. I'll try to be better about it.

My mom and I booked a vacation for August, after I finish at my job. We're going to Capileira in Granada (Spain), and we're staying in a charming little hotel called Finca Los Llanos (Farm/Ranch/Property on the Plains/Level). It's up in the mountainous regions of Andalucia, so hopefully it'll not be quite so scorching hot as the rest of Granada (which is averaging around 34C/93F right now). The views from up there seem spectacular, and there are hiking trails that go up the mountains and to the Moorish castles and eee it sounds fantastic! I can't wait! Just four more weeks of work to get through, and then freeeedom. Mm yeah.

Right, so I'd better get to work now. Admin work awaits! See you guys later! *Wave!*

Out and a boot.
