flyboy_foxAfter a rocky start, my birthday wasn't so bad ^^
I did sleep most of the morning away, but I felt a little better after that, and painkillers and a hot water bottle got me through.
Midday-ish the post arrived - and I got Jei-s parcel! Phew, talk about close timing. She sent me the entire 4-volume "Flight" collection (they're volumes of short story/comics all about flight, in various different styles and art forms), as well as a box of col-erase blue drawing pencils, the last three Archie Sonic comics, and a bag of bottle-caps ^^ Oh and my Hawaiian shirt that I left at her house about 3 years ago o.o; Plus she made a card for me, and it said that I'm "hotter than a chilidog in July"... XD how could I not grin at that. Ah, I love you Jei n.n You make my birthdays the bestest.
I just lazed around most of the afternoon and read some of the Flight volumes 1 and 2. I haven't been able to stay online for more than about 10 minutes at a time without my head getting bad again, but that's okay. Lazing in bed and reading is fine too.
When Jei got home from work (she got out a little early ^^), we talked on the phone for a while, which is always wonderful.
Then my mom ordered Indian for dinner! I got a lamb passanda and a chicken mango curry and a stuffed naan and some onion bhajis, with some pilau rice. Mmm! And to top it off, my mom made my FAVORITE desert - Lemon Delicious Pudding. Yep, that's its full proper name! It's all spongy on the top but it's like custard in the middle... oh boy... it's sooooo good XD It has about 5 bowls of sugar in it, but hey, it's my birthday :P Sooo good!
Then I talked to Jei on the phone for the rest of the evening until my phone died :( And now I'm off to read in bed for a bit and get some sleep.
Thanks everyone who wished me a happy birthday ^_^ It wasn't hugely eventful but it wasn't terrible either, and I had a few good highlights despite the lousy start.
Now onward!
