~Nothing to lose~
Apr. 23rd, 2007 04:16 pmI think this is the first time I've ever found myself kinda wanting to buy a Golf Sim o.o
SEGA Splash Golf. It's for PC, and so far there's no sign of a release outside of Japan... but if it DOES get an international release, I'm onto it! XD See... it's your average animé cell-shaded graphically pretty golf simulation, except for that you can have Sonic (or Tails, or Ulala, or NiGHTS etc) as your caddy. Yep. Sonic's taking a break from saving-the-world and has decided to earn some extra bucks caddying the field. And he's hilarious! Firstly he's zipping all over the place while the camera pans in. Then when you strike the ball, he's off chasing after it like a manic puppy XD; But the funniest thing has to be after you knock the ball into the hole. While your little animé boy/girl is doing a celebratory twirl/air-punch/handstand... Sonic's standing off to the side just clapping demurely and reservedly XD Good show, old chap! ... eh-heh n.n; I dunno. Sonic's just rather cute and makes for an adorable caddy, although I can't imagine him EVER having the patience for such a role. But argh... I want the game just for Sonic XDDD
I have an appointment at the Grand Pier tomorrow to fill in some forms for a possible job working there over the summer ^^; If I get the job and find out where they store the Sonic/Tails/Knux plushies they have in the claw machines, I am SO getting hold of one of each >.> Rawr. ... I'm also applying for Sales Assistant at Monsoon Accessorize n.n; It's a little fashion accessories outlet that sells... well... fashion accessories. Hardly my kind of joint, but hey! XD; I'm poor, I need money! Don't judge.
Also, and lastly, I can't remember if I did this meme yet. Ka-ganked from

Date: 2007-04-23 04:06 pm (UTC)I picture him shouting and arguing at the golfer, firing off sarcastic comments, and freaking the hell OUT over any and all water hazards.
I also picture him getting restless and zipping in circles, like the Sonic X episode where he was on the cruise ship. XD That's my favorite episode IN that series. ("Nooooooo! Come BAAAAAACK!")
(Mememememememe...! ...ahem.)

Date: 2007-04-23 04:38 pm (UTC)I think Tails would make a good caddy... but Jei says he'd probably talk too much XD; 'Cause you know, golfers like it to be so quiet while they're concentrating, and when Tails isn't being shy he has a tendency to kinda... babble a lot n.n;; and... like I'm doing right now o.o;; *shuts up*
... no, wait, I can't shut up yet, I have to meme you! ^^
1. I friended you because you seemed energetic and friendly and fun :)
2. I always think of the game Phoenix Wright when I think of you... must be that Ramen Objection icon XD;;
3. I like how hyper you can be, and how cheerful ^^ Your posts are very uplifting!
4. For some reason I remember your posts about the graduation thing quite clearly, and about your relative who's famous and stuff but is just like a friend to you :P
5. You kinda make me think of Amy, minus her annoyingness XD; 'Cause Amy's totally a fun cheerful girl, and I like her, except for her uber-obsession with Sonic ^^;;
6. How many languages do you speak, and is English a first or second? 'Cause I'm assuming your native tongue is Filipino(sp?), but only because I know you come from there... I'd totally say English is your first language otherwise. (Sorry, rambling again x.o)
7. I like the one you're using now, but I think the Ramen one is my favorite XD

Date: 2007-04-23 04:49 pm (UTC)Anyhow, meme!
1. I thought you were cool for being a SatAM fan, and then I realized you were cool as a person too and I figured it'd be fun to be friends :)
2. You make me think of SatAM, since
3. You always seen to have something interesting to say. I don't know you very well yet, but you seem like an intelligent and articulate person ^^
4. I remember your icon post and thinking how cool it was that someone wanted to make SatAM-themed icons.
5. I can't help thinking of Nicole, for the same reasons stated in the ratings community.
6. You may have already said before, but were you a SatAM fan 'back in the day' or did you stumble upon it later?
7. The Knuckles icon is kinda cute, though sad n.n; Also, the Uncle Chuck one that you're using right now is classic ^^

Date: 2007-04-23 05:21 pm (UTC)1. Aww, yay! :D Glad to be. *bows* I was worried I was still being my emo angsty self. XD;
2. Haha, and my layout back then certainly didn't help XD
3. Aww! ♥ That's a good thing, then. I always hope to make someone's day a little brighter :)
4. Hahaha XD That's quite a memorable entry for me too, probably because of all the random photos?
5. *GIGGLES* I've been told to be a lot like Amy before XD PINKKKK.
6. Well, I speak two languages. Technically, Filipino (Tagalog, to be specific on a dialect) would be my first, since it's my mother language. BUT, I firmly know that I am much better in expressing my ideas in English. XD I can understand Filipino well, but when it comes to deep, big vocabulary words? Take it from me: most of the time in Filipino class, I had no idea what the hell was going on in the stories we read. XD So yeah. Am I that well-versed though? I always get that compliment XD! As for any other language, I don't know any yet, but I'm self-studying Japanese, and I want to learn French, too. My biggest dream is to learn as many languages as possible. XD
7. RAMEN ICON SAYS HI 8D

Date: 2007-04-23 05:45 pm (UTC)1. I feel so special now. ^_^
2. Yeah, that's probably it. ^_^; But hey, everyone loves baby animals.
3. Thank you. That's something I'm rather proud about, so I always feel hppy when someone else thinks so.
4. I love making icons. And the world needs more SatAM!
5. I love the Nicole association! And the funny thing is, I would never have thought of it myself, heh.
6. Back In The Day. it was the first thing I EVER did fanart and fanfiction for. Currently, I'm writing an all-new fic as a prelude to reviving/rewriting an old one; almost done with the pre-write notes, so I'll probably get started in earnest by the weekend.
7. The "aw man" Knuckles? It was just my first thought when I saw that cap! And yeah, I love the Chuck one.)
I... shall post this later.

Date: 2007-04-23 06:29 pm (UTC)I'm not too much into golf games, though must admit mario golf was fun.
I doubt i'd get it myself, though it's a nice gimmick sonic/Nights chars are in it as well.

Date: 2007-04-23 09:19 pm (UTC)2. I always think of professional wrestling when I think of you... and I really have no idea why XD That, and Callisto(?) from Xena :P
3. I like your bluntness XD You tell it like it is and you're not afraid to ruffle a few feathers. Having you as an enemy was not fun... but having you on my side kicks ass.
4. Of course a big memory is that awful fight we had when you hated me and wanted me to die painfully ^^; But that's over now. More recent and better memories include things you've said to certain people that made me silently cheer XD
5. I don't know what character you're actually like, but your icon makes me think of you as Callisto. Maybe you're both kick-ass bitches? XD I don't know.
6. Hmm, one thing I kinda wanna know is are you actually Jewish by religion? Do you follow the Jewish faith and believe in it? Or are you only Jewish by blood?
7. I like your current icon. I dunno why. It's just pretty ^^

Date: 2007-04-23 09:24 pm (UTC)2. I find myself associating D&D with you, because of your posts. And science/biology things :P
3. I like how you often try to help when friends have issues. You actually take time to offer careful unbiased advice. And it tends to be good advice :)
4. I dunno why, but I have a memory floating around where you were talking about experimenting with food and making some kind of food concoction o.o Aaages ago n.n;
5. You kinda remind me of Rotor from SatAM in that you're very practical-minded and also just a really nice person, and hard-working, it seems :) And intelligent.
6. What ARE you actually studying, and at what level? It all sounds highly complex to me ^^;
7. I like your cat icon, "im in ur fridge eatin ur foodz" XD;

Date: 2007-04-23 09:30 pm (UTC)2. I associate photography with you. Maybe because of the photo-story series you started, or just the random snaps you've often posted (giant bunnie-in-a-skirt ftw!).
3. I like how passionate you are about things, and I really respect your views even where they differ from mine :) You're a great guy.
4. I remember a post you made where it sounded like you'd gone emo and cut yourself, but it turned out you were just donating blood XD;
5. You kinda make me think of Geoffrey St John from the Archie Sonic comic, although I don't know why XD You're not obnoxious like him... I guess it's the military thing and just being very passionate and devoted to some things.
6. Did you enjoy dressing up as a bunnie-in-a-skirt? XD Be honest now.
7. Favorite icon is this one, that you made for me ^___^

Date: 2007-04-23 09:39 pm (UTC)2. I'll always associate the Thomas Cart at Weston beach with you.
3. I really like how open and honest you are. There's no pretenses, you're always just you ^^
4. A solid memory I have is about the whole femme-Tails thing, because it was something you liked and I didn't. Most femme-Tails fans really annoyed me, but I didn't mind you. I think that's because you equally supported the idea of him being male, and you supported Sontails even if Tails was male. :)
5. You remind me of Gadget Boy, actually. Simply because, like you, he's very open and friendly, but he also takes things literally at times :)
6. What are your plans for after you leave school? Do you think you'll go to university? If so, what would you want to study?
7. I like your Doctor Who icons best, I think ^^

Date: 2007-04-23 10:34 pm (UTC)We met at first on the mystic boards, but I eventually foudn your journal through Leon's journal.
Unsure wheter I or you added me first, but that doesn't matter much does it?
2. D&D, that is one of the obvious things suppose.
I love RPG's in general though, and play other rpg's aside from D&D occasionally as well.
It's funny you first mention D&D, most would shout out Biology/science/biochemistry or somethign in that extend first.
3. Thanks, though I find it hard to get my point across at times. Makes me take so much longer to post what could have been a simple sentence.
That, and some solutions to problems seem so straightforward at times, I feel like repeating the thoughts of what they may already planned on doing. Though I suppose some just need that extra reassurance.
4. Yes, indeed a long time ago.
I still occasionally experiment in some ways, but not as much anymore since I haven't been making any hot choco anymore..
I tried out a lot of different things to throw in or add, with varying degrees of succes.
5. Interesting choice, can't say I had that ascociation before.
6. This is something I can't say enough times ^^;
I study biochemistry for my major at the moment, focus is more on DNA techniques and genetics, though immunology, protein analysis etc. are all also part of the study.
It's purpose?
Well it can have several, especially research on genetics can be figuring out the function of genes or finding what mutations in a gene cause a certain desease.
Knowing what mutations cause a desease can then be used as a way of diagnosing a desease, perhaps even before birth if it's something that can be inherited.
Protien stuff comes into view when your working about seeing what the function is of a certain protein expressed from a gene etc.
Biochemistry can also be less fundamental in the sense of tryign to discover/create medicine or other ways to influence certain reactiosns in the bidy that are going wrong under certain conditions.
Though biochemistry is also becoming a bit hyped these days for trying to find "biological" methods of solving things, as in rather then chemicly produced drugs..proteins or more biological things that act even more specificly and in some cases are even a lot more pure and cheaper to produce then chemical stuff.
As for the level of education?
A tough qeustion as educational systems are dissimilar here..
If I graduate this year I will have my Bachlor, but i'm not quite doing university level, the difference is with that of a University Bachlor is that university focuses on fundamental research.
My course is about more..specialised research.
What I mean is, fundamental is more about what a gene does..I go on about what to do with a gene once you know what it does. As in finding a purpose for what is known, which can be a battle on itself.
As there is no difference should I go to England (or any other country outside the Netherlands) you could see it as simply i'm doing a more practical version of the university's Bachlor, though i'll also be doing the master (which is university level) after this which basicly abolishes the difference.
7. I also just noticed that icon is no longer in my list :x

2. Naturally I think of electric rats :P ... and sports, for some reason.
3. I like how witty you are XD Always with a quick pun... makes me laugh.
4. I remember how at least one of you used to call me "Mr Kojirou" ^^ I dunno, I always liked that.
5. There's too many of you to assign any one character to, but that's another thing I like about you chus... you definitely have your own character :)
6. How did the whole multiple-chu thing come about, anyway?
7. I don't recall you ever using one :P

2) Well, thanks to your icon, I can't help thinking of Mudkips, naturally XD And Captain Jack.
3) You have good taste in music and you're a nice guy. It's nice chatting with ya :)
4) I remember when you first offered to send me that Knux doll, 'cause it was such a nice thing for you to do ^^
5) You kinda make me think of Charmy Bee ^^; I dunno why...
6) When's the baby due? ^_^ Thanks again for showing those awesome ultrasound scans! That was so awesome.
7) MUDKIPZ.
