Good GOD what is going on back in my home city? D: I swear, coming in for dinner to see London in flames on the News was... surreal, to say the least. I don't even--

My mum is going in to London tomorrow for stage one of her breast cancer surgery, and my dad and brother both live in London. My brother texted me to say he and my dad are fine but staying indoors! I hope they'll all stay safe. Jesus fucking christ.

In other news, yep, I'm still in NJ. I'm doing okay. Hope everyone else is fine. Sorry for falling off the radar for a couple of weeks ^^;

It's all over the UK now. Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, but no further south than Croydon. Everyone's pretty scared and upset but we'll make it through this. Hope you're having a good time in America anyway!

Just found out there's rioting literally two streets away from where my mum is having surgery tomorrow. If it prevents her getting to the hospital, I'll be pissed :\ Also, rioting one town over from where my 82-year-old dad lives. I'm not happy about any of it, but just gotta hope it'll be over soon ^^;

Sad thing here is, I only heard about them over Twitter. I'm a bit scared about my auntie, who was kind enough to lodge me for Summer of Sonic this year. She's only got one line connected to her nearest Underground station. I keep meaning to contact her to make sure she's okay.

I hope they don't have a negative impact on your mum's surgery too. I'm still not 100% sure what these riots are about exactly. I'm just begging they don't hop the border.

Yeah, it felt kind of sudden, didn't it? I don't really know the specifics, as I don't follow U.K. news in particular, but I was pretty surprised when I read about it too.
